Advisory & Capital
Independent Advice for Capital That Has To Last
Queisser & Cie is an independent Geneva advisory boutique working with entrepreneurs, family offices and long-term capital owners on strategic investment, corporate development and capital structuring, mainly in European private markets.
Two long-running disciplines underpin the work.
Thematic Research
A process for identifying structural economic and technological shifts, and the companies positioned to benefit, documented for clients since 2012.
Sustainability sits inside this process rather than beside it. Negative externalities — emissions, waste, resource intensity — are where we look for innovation. A cost borne by everyone eventually gets priced, and the companies that solved it early own the solution. Four of the twelve themes defined in 2012 came from that logic: materials efficiency, environmental footprint, basic resources access, health and safety.
A method for finding opportunity, not a values overlay.
Systematic Risk Management
A rules-based framework, developed in 2011 and run unchanged since, governing market exposure through predefined levels recorded month by month. Unlevered, executed through exchange-listed futures, built around capital preservation rather than forecasting.
Together
Thematic research supplies conviction. The risk framework decides how much market exposure to carry while that conviction plays out.
